Paw Pause
As we say grace around this table
sadly some are just not able
to fold their paws, to bow their head
repeat the words as they are said
and yet with reverence here they sit
just happy to be part of it.
A sip of tea, a muffin crumb
some jelly licked off of a thumb
a simple time shared with a friend
it could become a yearly trend.
