Paw

My cat's P's of poetry – 
punctuates everything I write
with a paw; when I'm composing, he slaps
at my pencil with...you guessed it, 
his paw – yesterday, the fan blew my 
precious creation, off of the miracle table, 
and onto the resident predator's territorial floor; 
followed by a savage attack: and yep!--a 
shameless clawing paw. Let me share with you, our latest
collaboration: 
                     Paw, 
                Paw, 
                       Paw, 
                  Paw.....

DiMino February 13, 2022 at 2:59 AM All I remember about Poughkeepsie is that it was a bus-stop on the way to Syracuse, where I had a girlfriend I would go see. I lived in New York. When I was working I could chase him off as I wrote but as a retiree, I feel obligated (of course in the loving way) to listen to his work day. So paw paw paw it is ;) Joseph P.
