Paulette - 1
You were our first-born, our sweet baby girl
We named you Paulette, and I’ll never forget
Holding you when you arrived on that wintry day
So long ago, but then they told us you were gone,
That we would not be taking you home, Paulette,
Your little lungs were simply not strong enough
Though you seemed perfect in every other way.
