Patterned Death
on this form
falls this force,
this elemental motion
brings to bear a center,
a thread woven inextricably
from a patterned death.
a modality of means,
pulled tightly but
too Abundant to refuse breath.
a willfull sword cleaves
the self from
any wretched root,
the dead leaves' fall
gives life to limb
and flame
as flame gives
light & blood
to our backs
