Parting Scars

Clasping my hands, I air a prayer

Beg for forgiveness, with no one there

Falling to knees, crosses dangle from throat

Feeling warmth, provided by an invisible coat

Safely and securely, I lie humbled in bed

Thanking the lord for all the blood he has shed

Careful not to take advantage of endless wish lists

My scars fully fade on my porcelain wrists

Conversing dreams of passion and hope

Weary not to fall victim to life's atrope

When I feel no one is listening

That no one cares

I feel the clouds part

Revealing my fully answered prayers

Congrats! Thanks for sharing this poetic testimony of your relationship with the Lord. So delighted is my spirit with your earnest muse, especially this line: "Thanking the lord for all the blood he has shed." God bless you.
