Particles of Time

(Dust) Stillness is its companion, a hush will get it by lurking in every dimension waiting for one to die, this planet the last bastion, no hope to defend with solar days in turmoil it will have its revenge. Life’s creation evolved from it, for it is nature’s way reposed in composure it waits for that one special day, to lie in state it seeks comfort, in peace eternal rest but not until earth’s destruction will it be at its best. Yet man encouraged to conquer, awesome power his goal from ‘Nostradamus’ predictions written upon his soul mission statement, hidden agenda for the warring few confirmation MAN'S GOTTA DO WHAT A MAN'S GOTTA DO. So man destroys his environment, extinction bound it waits for one’s quality time where life cannot be found. ashes to ashes dust to dust, all matter one day meet out of this a new beginning to the Gods a new treat! © Harry J Horsman 2010

harry, I am feelings so hopeless here tonight. I lost my ability to reply to blogs. I have no member area to check anything out or to post blogs. And all my soupmails have disappeared. Is it the same for you? I am trying to find out if I am affected only or if it's a lot of other people. I'm sure I'll get stuff back soon. Sure hope so!!! Luv, Andrea ps. I see I responded to this poem of yours two whole years ago!!

A nice read, harry! Interesting topic to explore. I'd not call this one free verse. It reads quite lyrical to me with a strong flow. And also it is mostly rhyming! Luv, Andrea

Enjoyed your write today, Harry! Only natives in the jungle or nomades have the right feeling for nature! Thinking about BP's oil spill and its consequencies is just a horror!!! When will I eat my last sea fish which will be safe to eat???? Great message in your poem! And thank you for your friendly comments...Have a nice weekend...Gert

Great write on the environment which we are continuing to abuse, even though we see the handwriting on the wall. Your message is most timely and extremely valuable. Dan C

What a lot of us think, well done. Mother Earth will take care of herself, but I don't think we are going to like it!!!
