Line Gauthier Poet Free verse

Part Time Poet

there is nothing grander
i aspire to than spending
long moonlit nights
and the best of days
with pen and paper
toying with words
lingering with notions
dreaming up verses
giving tribute to intricacies
and mysteries of the universe

as much as it pains me
the hours get away from me
while i settle for
the lowly rank
of part time poet
when i'd rather be
wholeheartedly
a poetess full fledged
