In the eyes of the young child life lacked black or shades of grey. He travelled light. Unburdened was his mind except for dreams, till one day torrential rain washed away the bright colours and his soggy paper boats. - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - Contest Finish Line in Seven Sponsor: Nette Onclaud Placed 3rd © 16th May, 2020

Unfortunately we cannot bring back the past, but we can still keep the child within! Thank you for yet another visit, Angela:) Regards // paul

My dear friend, when marvelous intellect, artistic depth and seasoned experience converge, a Paul Callus masterwork will emerge. Your profound pen never fails to amaze me, with not a extra drop of precious ink spilled nor needed to create and complete a captivating image. When dreams and reality collide it can be enough to sink one's paper boat, hopefully one has a floatation device handy :)) Love this, Paul. Warmest wishes and hugs always.. ~Susan P.S. I enjoyed your poem “Dandelion Head” as well :))

If the child learned well...he would know that paper boats don't float for long...a big lesson

I'm sure the poor child was devastated - my father always used to make me colored boats as a child so I could play in the bath. This brought back memories my friend. Good luck in the contest Paul. Hugs and warm regards, Jennifer.

Like how you showed life through the eyes of a child Paul. It's a shame as you get older your worries and concerns multiply. Good luck in the contest Tom
