Painted Lady (Rime Couee)
Butterfly, my sweet butterfly,
our love so rare, I wonder why
your heart chose to love me.
Your sparkle that captured my eye
and leaves my breath a whispered sigh
as only love can be.
As you flit to here, to there,
I gaze as dreams become aware
and my world fills with light.
From the first time you said you care
your love became my daily fare
butterfly shine tonight.
Your vibrant colours on my skin
a mark to say love lies within
tattooist's work of art.
With needles and ink, joined as kin
when loves painted lady drew me in
her wings embraced my heart.
