Paint Me a Poem
Paint me a poem of Emerald green;
With Lapis blues and golden hues.
A poem that will ensure I arise and
Salute the Azure skies.
Paint me a poem of rose’s red;
One across a canvas spread.
One where lavender, returns to pink;
One that causes me to blink;
My wandering eyes turned hazel hues that,
Slip quickly back to cerulean blue.
Paint me a poem, purple deep;
So in the twilight, I will sleep;
Dreaming of colors bright in the sun.
I want to bathe in the orange light of,
Aged Sol’s yellow-bright fun.
Yes, paint me a poem, just so you
Will feel what I feel, when I paint the truth.
Force the painting to come to life;
Paint me a poem on canvas white.
I want the poem on a wall;
To read as I walk down the hall.
Paint me a poem of musical notes;
Drawing colors as the words float;
Lending magic to a silver sea and
I will turn turquoise green and swim into the blue abyss
of words hidden in your color-list.
Paint me a poem, paint it now;
Paint me a poem to soothe my frustrated brow.
