Pain--again

I thought I ended this darkness, locking it in
an abyss all its own.
Rain falls, growls of wolves echo,
snapping, gnashing their teeth at my heels.
Sister with outstretched hands, you wolf in sheep's
clothing, you bear your venomous teeth of daggers.
I once thought that I filled this hole but
As the wolf stands within inches
it calls into the darkness.
Sitting waiting to devour me,
waits, for the pain to take hold
to give it permission to overtake
My head pounds with fiery, I will not meet its gaze
Persistent
Anguish
Incomparable
Nerves
I will not grant this wolf satisfaction
