Over Stocked
An old country woman so rare,
Cats congregate into her care.
She fills up dishes
With feline wishes
Until all her cupboards are bare.
Folks of the town have united
To take the cats uninvited
And drop them on her
Along with their fur.
They say she will be delighted.
Her yard’s simply crawling with cats.
She’s happy to have no more rats.
They’ve all moved to town
To run up and down
In houses and condos and flats.
For John's Limerick contest
Won 4th place
(after another batch of kittens landed on my deck)
