Take care of your sister my momma said. That is all that ran through my head. You never know if she would have a seizure, And don't let anyone try to tease her ! As years go by I try to keep her in reach. I tell her be careful don't go to the beach. Did you take your pills, did you eat ? Do you need a ride, do you want a treat ? Oh my god I wasn't there for you. You seized alone, what should I do ? Two weeks in the hospital, I came everyday, You wanted out, didn't want to stay. Wheelchair bound with a broken hip Damn dear sister why did you have to slip. You became belligerent and oh so snappy. Being off your meds made you so unhappy. STOP ! Stop telling me what to do! Stop following me like a mother bear. Get out leave me alone! And don't come back I really don't care ! I didn't understand that coming off her meds Would create a person that I didn't know Since a wee one the seizures controlled her We hovered over her because we loved her so. My sister cut me out of her life Didn't want to be told what to do. I really didn't blame her, I know that's what I'd want To think and do for myself and then follow through. The doctors put her on so many pills, Some days she's lost, some days she's thrilled. It's the trances I hate, there nothing to do But watch that she is safe till it's finally through. I've learned that the lady I see this day Isn't the sister with whom I played. Her poor mind now functions the best it can Considering the meds even affect her stand. We are back together with love in our hearts I don't tell her what to do and she no longer roars I have a new appreciation for people like her Her meds control the seizures, she doesn't need more! My sister is an amazing strong lady who has been through hell and back. She should surely have a reservation beside the throne of God.

A strong piece excellently penned Virginia, telling the effects of someone so close to you. Take care, Gordon

you are so right. But when it's someone very close it is sometimes hard to see. I added to Part 1 because I had miss a couple paragraphs. Thankyou for your straight forward matter of fact comments. I do appreciate them.
