Our Woods

Our woods have many forts in it
Our woods have a tire swing that touches the ground
Our woods have trees that dance in the wind
The leaves are like birds as they flutter down from the trees
We find many old memories in our woods
We make new ones too
Our woods have bugs and beatles but we just ignore them
Our woods aren’t a stone castle 
It doesn’t have knights in shining armor protecting it
It doesn’t have dragons trying to burn it
It doesn’t have kings, queens, princesses, or princes ruling it
Some people think the woods is just for animals
It’s not just for the animals it’s for us to
It’s for us to protect and us to rule
Our woods aren’t a stone castle but it’s our castle and its beautiful in every way.

As per the contest description the entry is for ages 11-18 in which your first name only will be featured in the book. The anthology will be submitted for final publication in the next few days.
