We talked after so many years Both having survived trauma and fears Finally, able to see eye to eye It just took a lot of time going by Time lost, but now slowly regained Trying to get beyond all that was stained We were only children, without a choice Against people who stole our voice But now we speak, and listen too I am so sorry brother, for all you’ve gone through! Sometimes anything you say or do or don't say or do; is pointless to deaf ears and hardened hearts. No one should have to deal with such in families but, sadly many do. Well penned.jd9

Very sad Heidi, but I'm glad that it had a happy ending for you both. It does happen in families and sometimes there is no reconciliation, happily in your case there was. Paul is right, life is too short. Tom.
