Our Secret
I shall keep your heart's secret-
you know, the one that you vowed to honor?
I p r o m i s e I shall keep it,
and as I grow old, I’ll still LOVE you Connor.
For we are beauty and passion combined,
an artisan masterpiece, love e n t w i n e d-
a connection of the soul and mind,
a passion like ours... so hard to find.
I knew not of a love like this before-
you know, the kind that holds a last breath?
I PROMISE to love you more,
even as I lay on a bed of d e a t h.
For we are a tide surfacing the sand,
walking along the shore, hand in hand-
only God can truly u n d e r s t a n d,
for He already had this fate planned.
I always knew you’d stay,
you know, FOREVER and ever...
in a field of daisies, I shall lay,
this b o n d of love shall never sever.
For we are d e w drops on a rose,
full of contentment and repose-
as our FAITH in each other grows,
I’ll show you a love nobody knows.
