Our Own Place
You kissed me in the morning sunlight
Midst the flowers, awakened by daylight
My heart fluttered like wings of butterflies
Through the air, under the baby blue skies
Uplifted by spring birds, singing all around
Fallen from a dream where you were found
Nothing seemed to matter, only now this dawn
Where dew drops glistened across the lawn
You took me by the hand as we disappeared
Along a hidden path, with nothing to be feared
Love had now taken us away to our own place
And I still see flowers blooming, when I look at your face
