Notes About The Poem

Our Lives In Reverse

Forwards It’s time to say goodbye I’ve come to the conclusion You constantly lie to me Doesn’t it make you feel guilty? How can you act so innocently When every single word you utter is untrue Do you think I’m so naive You treat everyone like a fool It’s no wonder you have no friends You just live in your own selfish little world Backwards You just live in your own selfish little world It’s no wonder you have no friends You treat everyone like a fool Do you think I’m so naive when every single word you utter is untrue how can you act so innocently Doesn’t it make you feel guilty? You constantly lie to me I’ve come to the conclusion It’s time to say goodbye n/a in Reversible poem Contest Submitted to Screwed XIX Poetry Contest 9/2/18

Good Morning Jan. First I love the power and strength to standing up to what is right. You are you hear you roar. Second I believe the reverse worked. Your message and words make sense both ways. Best of luck with the contest. May this day find you well.

Well-done, Jan: The converse is just as good as "per-verse" as the "pro-verse," if I've made myself clear here, dear. (Probably not, I suspect).
