Our Friendship Was a Must
Her skin was not like mine
But we were soul sisters
Hushing others when mean
Such spiritual sisters
Jealousy swirled around us
Some tried to break our trust.
We did not look the same.
Our friendship was a must.
Both there for our children.
Important for them to see
We were a united front,
My cousin Deb and me.
You cannot be sisters!
The children at first would….
But we showed them our truth,
Spiritual sisterhood.
