Our Day At the Beach

We lie on the beach With our toes in the sand Lying on our backs hand in hand. You run to deep, blue water So brave, so happy You don’t realize that the waves are a bit to choppy. The sun begins to get hot The air is windy The clouds are as white as a marshmallow The planes fly through the air without a care. The children laugh and play and say hurray. It must be your happiest day. We start to built a sandcastle Not realizing they are such a hassle. But you say “Mommy we can get through it”. It starts to get late, so we make a debate Should we stay or should we leave The sun is going down, the sky is getting dark So we pack up our things and start to head back.

Hi Annamarie this sounds like a wonderful family day out. I can remember when my children were little and we took them to the seaside we always had fish and chips when it got late in the caravan, great memories.
