Our Children's Future

There are days I can not fathom How we lost and do not have them Disappearing without a trace What happened to the human race Where did we go wrong and why Let's give it another try To fix this world that is broken Lets leave all our future children A world they don't have to be scared of Full of the kindness and love That disappeared not to be found This shouldn't be where we are bound Heading straight into disaster We need to work a little faster Before our next generation Falls into a situation They can not overcome Because of things that we have done Not thinking of the consequences Have we lost all common senses
