Our Cat Stole My Wallet

My wallet was missing, A common occurrence, That seldom causes panic. We were getting ready to go to the market, But still I did not panic, As I had no doubt, it was in the house, And my wife had cash. Upon our return I renewed my search, And just when I needed to sit down, For a rethink, A long way yet from a panic you understand, I felt the urge to look in the cat's Latest cardboard play box, Which was about a couple of feet from the kitchen table. And there it was, The cat denied it of course, But I will be keeping a closer eye on her in the future.

My question to you David, is she an honest cat? Did you check your wallet when you found it? Maybe there was a secret trip made to Petco when you were out. Tee hee.. Meow. I always like reading your poems, they bring me a smile.

My wallet is not the only thing our cat has stolen. She has a habit of stealing our seats whenever we stand up. Most other cats we have had, headed out the door when we have visitors, but if there is a spare seat at the table she comes and joins the party, think she likes to hear all the gossip. She could be a spy for an alien race. So glad my poems bring a smile to you from across the oceans. Take care David.

Glad you liked it. This cat is so different to all other cats we have had. A very clever cat, likes to be nosy, especially when we have visitors. hope you are having a good week, regards David in NZ
