Our Cat Stole My Wallet
My wallet was missing,
A common occurrence,
That seldom causes panic.
We were getting ready to go to the market,
But still I did not panic,
As I had no doubt, it was in the house,
And my wife had cash.
Upon our return I renewed my search,
And just when I needed to sit down,
For a rethink,
A long way yet from a panic you understand,
I felt the urge to look in the cat's
Latest cardboard play box,
Which was about a couple of feet from the kitchen table.
And there it was,
The cat denied it of course,
But I will be keeping a closer eye on her in the future.
