WOW! Even more deep and profound than the last one I read. Isn't there a Bible verse that says something like people read the Scriptures as if they are looking into a mirror? You see yourself in the pages... then close the book and turn away. I've never written a monoku before, but it almost looks like a haiku combined into one line... might have to try it out one of these days....

I enjoyed reading all the comments, this one line has created a lot of dialogue. I guess we can take a look at ourselves each time we are bothered by another's sin and take time to reflect on our own lives. Then we should take time to be thankful our sins have been forgiven.

Yes, Justin, one and all. Some of us are better at admitting our weaknesses and sins. Jesus protected the naked adulteress at his feet by telling the rabble, "He who is sinless, let him cast the first stone." Needless to say...she wasn't stoned that day. Yes...We all have our issues. I value your honesty of heart.

Thanks, Jerry. From what I understand, a monoku is like a haiku in syllable count, but in a straight line! Simplistic, perhaps...but that is my understanding. Thanks for the visit.

Thank you, Gary....Yes, we ALL are. That was the gist of this one line....So, a case of see the speak in your own eye before you see the log in your brother's eye...Thanks for the visit.

Yes, it is true, yet, we have to be forgiving, dear Eileen, for we are only human, don't you think? Very well put!

yes dear Eileen..This monoku is like a mirror..I can see the other people in that mirror..I take a closer look..and I can see myself. We are all eligible to sin ,that is why I hate judging the otjers, and avoid gossip.Once a priest told me that when I judge ,I lose the chance of being pure everytime.Just one line and so much to ponder about .Awesome!!

We all are members of Sinners Anonymous...the problem is, some like to point out the sins of others when they themselves suffer from the self same sins. Me included. That's just our sorry human nature. Love having your support, my dear. God bless.

ahhh, how true-- sorry my mind's fuzzy, can't seem to expound on this. but you say so much in just one line here, laced with much truth. Thank you again for passing by my oldies, it means a lot to me-- especially since I know I haven't been active and hardly get any comments, which is so understandable. hugs to you and off to sleep I go! Have a wonderful day!
