Orphans Money
(This is a fictional poem)
I walked outside on Christmas morning and found a hundred dollar bill.
I later learned that the money I found was supposed to go to orphans and I felt ill.
When I found the money, I gave it to my landlord and I was pretty sure that he
wouldn't return it.
He said he's keeping the money because he earned it.
Two days later he died of a heart attack.
Some say it was a punishment for not giving the money back.
I sold an antique and got two hundred dollars.
I gave it to the orphans and they cheered and hollered.
I gave the orphans money to my landlord and I feel terrible because of what I did.
But I also feel happy because I was able to make it up to these kids.
