Orange Halloween
My favorite color during this season
Is surely the color orange
Pumpkins are a favorite of mine too
Jack-o-lanterns fill my house
And all over the outside
On the porch and the walk
Black lights also light up
All around the front porch
Awaiting the unwary
To have the lights come on
Only after they are activated
By motion
I always have skeletons
That adorn the porch
As well as a large witch
Overpowering and fearsome
There’s an old tree
That usually has no leaves at this time
That holds an owl
Created to hoot upon my command
A beautiful sight to see
And frightening in the dark
Real spiders skitters across the porch
Looking for someone to bite
They are innocent in this event
But still are protective of their area
Orange fills everything here
As it is the color of the season
I love this day of the year
The best and most fun
