Open Sea
The skies may be gray, bringing doom with the rain
But there are still things to hold onto, to help me sustain
Life may be filled with hard challenges, but I still try
To do what I can and to smile after times I cry
Gratitude helps me move on each and every day
Writing helps me release all the words I have to say
Special people who show care, mean so much to me
In a world that falls to evil, all around where I can see
Choices are important when faced with so much turmoil
Like planting seeds to see flowers, in the God given soil
Never give up because time allows for change to be
What we wait to come our way, on a ship in open sea
