Open Sea

The skies may be gray, bringing doom with the rain But there are still things to hold onto, to help me sustain Life may be filled with hard challenges, but I still try To do what I can and to smile after times I cry Gratitude helps me move on each and every day Writing helps me release all the words I have to say Special people who show care, mean so much to me In a world that falls to evil, all around where I can see Choices are important when faced with so much turmoil Like planting seeds to see flowers, in the God given soil Never give up because time allows for change to be What we wait to come our way, on a ship in open sea Heidi Sands 11/7/19

You show the way with your positive thoughts, Heidi. Life is not easy, but with an attitude like yours we can make it work. Enjoyed both the poem and the smooth rhymes. Regards // paul

Uplifting and lovely. So much of your poetry sings its own song. A gift Heidi.

This one has my smile floating Heidi. Such a positive upbeat poem in the face a damp weather and cold temps (I assume) You are so good at these, always inspiring.

I love to hear about the floating smile you have Chris! Yes, it is dreary and cold rain today with snow North of here. Thank you for the kind compliment :)
