Open My Eyelids
The silent I speak, whose eyes cannot see
So loud I shout, for my voice you hear
When sad I cry, for a tear can flow
From my own, and closed eyelids
When you shouted to me, to borrow my vote
You took your bus, for me and my sort
To the polling station, to beat your vote
Saw you no barriers, in my closed eyes
One term and half, you announced learning
For those who saw, my own you forgot
My eyelid the stuff, education for denying
So you know barriers, in my closed eyelids
Attention! Attention! Attention to all
Shhh! stay quiet, listen to my case
My hand my leg, above all my head
Has nothing to do, with my closed eyelids
In that furnished office, my aid can fit
In the school braille, my eyes can read
Just as I voted, forget not serve me
Am human don’t forget, open my eyelid
