One Wonders

One wonders of the
flexibility of Time…
3 minutes hardly enough,
or the perfect egg --

Our times together
never seeming enough

and the parts away, painfully
protracted, occupant of my
every reason --

Sentiments, of course, can’t
be canned, bottled or frozen;
no shelf-life for the heart
deprived – a mystery why I
even wear a watch?

never checked when with you

an eternity without you….

Love poems about TIME, and this one is no exception, Joe.

"never checked when with you an eternity without you"…. This shows how sweetening is the presence of the loved one in a person's life. Moments may seem eons without him/her and eternity may seem just like years. Beautiful composition, dear Joe.

This is such a poignant and insightful poem, dear Joe. Time is indeed a bittersweet element, fluid in its essence and fleeting at its cores! It absolutely feels to be like an eternity without the presence of our loved ones and when in their embrace, even eternity feels like a moment ago... Beautifully laced sentiments here which I could truly resonate with. Pleasure reading this poem today, hope you've been doing well, light and best wishes to you always ~

Sad...but, sadly beautiful. Love is worth dying for. Please read my short story "Death By Proxy" -- sort of the same hyper-romantic sentiment. Have a beautiful weekend my friend. Thank you.
