One With the Water

Listen to poem:
One with the Water David J Walker After the dam burst And the massive flood of words Poured over countless sheets of Innocent blank paper Giving each page meaning of My own making Hidden in poetic meter The constant stream turns into a river carving its’ native art into a steep Canyon of awe and wonder As I swim upstream searching For the origin, The source of the voice Whispering into my sub consensus Awakenings from half earth and Half dreams reminds me that I must choose between the two To live forever in the eternal waters and become one with the droplets Or drown in the dust of the dry world Outside

Thank you for reading my poem EJ. Life is a conundrum, isn't it?
