One Thing Left On Her Bucket List

The only thing left on my bucket list was Aurora Borealis. I held my cousin’s hand and said “I know.” She had spoken of this many times over the past four months. A worldwide traveler, it was the only thing she regretted. But who knew that cancer would take her so completely? It had robbed her of energy, love of living and now her hair. I am ugly, she told me. I assured her that she was not. I told her she would see Aurora Borealis when she passed. Felt badly that I had lied about this. Until I also passed and saw Aurora Borealis And my cousin.

We surely will see what we expect and can imagine.

So sad, but just think of the marvelous things she did see while she was able to travel. Lots of place I haven't seen in this life, but I will see them in the next dimension because I'll be free to go to any place I want to go to. It is only this physical body that limits us.

This physical body has me hobbling today - I should have not worn new shoes to school the first day back!
