One Last Wish

a little fish washed up on shore I checked its gills it breathed no more and then a wave came rushing in swept up the fish by its tail fin back out to sea spun round and round the poor dead fish at last it drowned it seems to me I am that fish the sea never grants one last wish

Good point. After all, we're somewhere between 70% and 90% water, depending on what chemistry text you used back in the day. lol. Peace, Lindsay.

Question, GW. If a fish is dead, can it drown? Pondering that thought, but it makes for a good brain exercise. ha ha

You could be right, Mike. People are certainly unpredictable. Most I know want to live as long as they can, yet I know there must be many who don't want to suffer through their final years/months/days....

That's a great write. May you breath, when the waves take you in

In essence, not everyone is given the chance to reach the finish line. Am I close? Another thought-provoking piece Gershon! Great....ab

I couldn't help but think of Jonah, gw. Whether he cried out while languishing in the belly of the fish, definitely drowning in the gall. It seems he got another chance.

You could have avoided the analogy at the end. You are not a dead fish, but a fish darting up and down cutting across the waves :) :)

So, Valsa: Why do I feel like a dead fish so often? Ha, ha. :) gw
