One Last Wish
a little fish
washed up on shore
I checked its gills
it breathed no more
and then a wave
came rushing in
swept up the fish
by its tail fin
back out to sea
spun round and round
the poor dead fish
at last it drowned
it seems to me
I am that fish
the sea never grants
one last wish
