Tri-Con
Created by Connie Marcum Wong consisting of at least 4 three line stanzas. Each line has no set meter or syllable count. The last word in each stanza must rhyme with the following Stanza and then you need to change your rhyming word again in the third stanza and so on.
I cried on our first date,
you looked so debonair
and I was proud of you.
I cried meeting your folks,
they felt like family
and my love for them grew.
I cried when you proposed,
you got down on one knee
and gazed into my eyes.
I cried when I said yes,
you made me so happy
and caught me by surprise.
I cried at our wedding,
you in your tuxedo
and me in virgin white.
I cried at our son's birth,
sharing a tear of joy,
we hugged, ever so tight.
I cried when you got sick,
facing death together
we both lived with that fear.
And at your funeral,
when I whispered goodbye
I cried...yet one last tear.
