On a blistering August day, hot sweaty kids just wished to play. Someone (nobody stills knows who) turned on the hydrant. Water flew! It flew and like a geyster went all over the place – Heaven sent! The kids went crazy. Oh what fun that one hot day in summer’s sun! Hi Andrea, Your poem complimented the picture very well. This fun write brought back so many memories. I can remember hot summer days when we got wet by the water hydrant too. Good nostalgic write. I wish the best of luck in the contest:-) Alexis

What fun! I have some old family pictures that look like the people here, but funny looking bathing suits, ladies' wool one-piece on the Florida coast.

I remember similar things. This summer I did not get to the beach even once!! The summer is dying now and the season of football and the high Holidays is here. I hope you and yours are well! Enjoyable verse here! I sold a chapbook for a cup of tea and a Danish at a local café today Peace & Love Matthew Anish
