One Heart
My sweet love dear
when you are near
my heart beats fast
true love at last.
When first we met
our fate was set;
the seed was sown
our love has grown;
and then we wed
I do was said;
our bond was sealed
our love to yield.
Our lives’ were whole
our hearts and soul
for life shall we
as one to be.
Through all the years,
though there were tears,
our love grew strong
we sang life’s song.
To you I gave
my love to save
to light your way
when skies were grey.
You gave to me,
and I felt free
from pain I knew
when times were blue.
Till life is done
we will be one;
we ne’er will part
we share one heart.
