“I can't change the direction of the wind, but I can adjust my sails to always reach my destination.” — Jimmy Dean One goal that haunts my life, Fading beneath the shadow’s flow With hope based on God’s sacrifice, Blessing away the twilight’s glow. One goal that breathes softly in the sun, Soaring quietly beneath stars and moon Stirring hearts to believe in the One, Who arose to play the gentlest tune. One goal that reminds me where love sings, Lives the music of wonder that fulfills Promising believers a glimpse of the king of kings, The One whose purpose surely stills. One goal that colors my life in a sweetness, Graceful as prayers and praising evermore Warms my spirit with precious completeness, Restores my life with a love that I adore. One goal that tells me I am the child of grace, Remembering this love that is God’s way Glistening in the skies, shining on each face, A glimpse of God’s wonder, as I kneel to pray. One goal that has always nurtured my devotion, To the One who brings His joy and peace The reason that I believe and it is more than emotion, Moving me to just believe – this love will never cease… And, because I believe – His love is alive within, Where I know, my only goal, is to light the hearts With the love given when I was forgiven of my sin, And, the surety of a light whose hope never departs. My only goal – deep inside my soul Is to give back a piece of this blessing, More than love, it makes me whole It is Jesus, my Savior, whom I’ll keep professing!
