I slept on it overnight so I wouldn't lash out The words I'd have said would not have been kind Conflicted between feelings of anger and sorrow I needed to pause and absorb your one-lined reply Being your last priority has become tiresome So I bit my tongue, and kept my thoughts to myself And I've decided no longer to tolerate Your selfish ways are damaging to my health Two can play this 'waiting game' of hide and seek By letting your one-lined response stand alone As for my absence, well, you'll figure out how it feels But this time it's my move that will be the unknown August 29, 2020 @katladyt_
