Once Upon a Time
Should we ever meet again
I would search your eyes for smiles
And ask " How have you been? "
Across the years and miles
Moments of passion caught
Before you moved away
To chase the dreams you sought
I couldn't make you stay
To hold you in my arms
It would never be the same
As life has left its scars
I would only know your name
The years would change your face
Beauty would still be yours
Time would leave its trace
Within the eyes contours
It is there, I would say hello
To see if you're still there
Though I still carry sorrow
It's not something that I wear
I'll share with you a welcome
That will be a warm embrace
To feel the heart succumb
To years we can't replace
