Once She Was a Lady

Once She Was A Lady She is going through it now, The changing of the hair, That gray one over one eye, Invoked a thunder crack scare. And then there’s those 40-ish tightening of the pants, A look in the mirror sent her into rants. Tomorrow it will be broccoli and vinegar, (Her husband says he likes her jigglier). “Sandy blonde” will hide the gray, (Husband can’t get out of paying). Her life has changed from better or for worse, Once she was a lady, and now she knows how to curse.

You have described the inevitable changes that come with aging quite well with these rhyming couplets.
