Once and For All

The Son said: "Father, let me take this burden. Let me go, and be the One to die once and for all." (Selah) Can you hear the deafening silence surrounding His Throne? The Eternal Son of God, opted to enter the Holy of holies once and for all; not to receive sin offering, but be the Sacrficial Lamb for us sinners. (Selah) But who are we, that He must think of us? "Oh! wretched man I am!" That is who we are; undone, frail and lost. We're the ones should die there on a hill for our iniquities are grave, destined to ruin. (Selah) "But why? I don't deserve this?" The Father heard His Son. Without words, He took a human body and clothed it for His Beloved. Angels were moved, tears and wailing without voice Alas! the Father embraced His Son, sent Him to us. (Selah) In His darkest hour: "Eli! Eli! Lama Sabachthani!" Tears welled down; yearning for His Father's enfold. (Selah) And there, - our High Priest hanged on a tree. An offered life, He desired only to satisfy His Father's love, once and for all and for all eternity.
