On Your Way, On Your Way

I pray to my heavenly host That you are not merely a ghost Something I can not see Just a vision to me I want to see your holy face A sparkle a glimmer Something I can embrace Some say you leave a holy trail Gold dust they prevail I might not see you standing By my side, I am demanding As your presence floats by I know now I may not see Until the sweet by and by But what’s in my heart, I do believe I hope one day to feel the breeze Of your wings so close to me On your way, on your way Will find me some other day But for now I pray On your way, on your way To guide other some other day On your way, on your way
