On the Horizon
Rainclouds spotted on the horizon
soon streaming swiftly to center stage
billowing upward, swelling on high
gray curtains enclosing blue patches of sky
Was it seconds ago the sun held sway
beaming joy and delight with each new ray
expressionless a moment, heavens overcast
lightning signals thunder's imminent blast
