The final words were spoken Honoring his life on this earth So many kind hearts were broken The day they laid his body to rest ~ Whispers of regrets were muttered Behind most compassionate glimpses Thoughts of heaven were soon uttered As grief gripped the souls at the grave ~ Soft winds of melancholy blew in the air Leaving feelings of desolation and dread Accompanying their hearts burning prayer For a happy home awaiting his gentle spirit ~ Although his body will soon decay and rot There is no doubt he was very deeply loved Someone who God assuredly had sought To become an angel up on the higher ground Dedicated to “Luke Hill”, who died on September 21, 2020 at the age of 39 – May God take better care of him than he did himself. This is 'decay' at its finest. I love how you did this in the quatrain form, and how you ended on the uplifting important final note that the soul is free at last. A FAVE for me, Regina. Thank you so much, Gershon

What wonderful dedication to a friend, sensitive, touching, and certainly creative, he looks down upon you now Regina and knows you are such a good woman, I feel that myself also. Blessings and hugs, Jennifer..
