On Her Death, She Shall Be Free

Listen to poem:
On herself much cruelty was afflicted
Seldom would it leave her so confused mind
Never a trial, yet she was convicted
She would wonder when will the world be kind
Leaving her alone as the unwanted
Silent by pretence, never to admit
But by his lies, was forever haunted
He was nothing by none; a hypocrite
But this demon sent knew how to hurt her
Even to smirk in his own devilment
At unjust penalties she would incur
But not free from his own impenitent
For she knows she has been left out to die
But on her death the world would see his lie

Indeed, death unlocks the door to many things, but it would be much fairer were one to be set free long before! Enjoyed this sad sonnet, Indy. ~ Regards // paul
