On Aging
And though I sag a bit
more than a bit; and though
I sing an octave deeper, with
far less breath, obviously less
vocally fit; and though my
charming discourse is more
discourse than dazzling wit --
mostly wrong and seldom right,
having lost the greater part of
my youthful glory~ a check,
a hug, a kiss, for yet continent
and ambulatory.
