On a Passing Cloud There Floats a Dream
ON A PASSING CLOUD THERE FLOATS A DREAM
TThe horizon shimmers in sunburst color,
the dawn splashes hues on my canvas.
I paint lilac tinged clump of cloud there
flushing like flaming flowers of my vase.
The lyric of longing love I write for you,
out from my heart on the cloud it lies.
With touch of astral gleam it turns into
tapestry of my dream, to your sky it flies.
Away from me in an unknown land far
when spring’s soft breeze will caress you,
love is in the air, it’ll whisper in your ear,
the ripple of joy will make a feeling new.
You’ll morph into a butterfly flying free,
the wings colored in ecstasy to the brim.
If you look at the sparkling sky you’ll see
on a passing cloud there floats a dream.
