Old Bird

The lovely bird locked in his cage Is starting to show his birdie age. He no longer spends days Just thinking of ways Of expressing his birdie rage.

This is a great limerick. Just how old is your bird? I heard parrots can live to be sixty years old or more.

Francine, you have some really good Limerick material here. Some of these birds are thought to go nuts from lack of attention from there masters. Tragic, to think of the many pets that are locked away like that to spend hours alone. Good job. Agape, Moses

Great Limerick, Francine!! And congrats on your success in the contest! Poor birdie!! I once had two small parrots, but when one dies the other followed soon and I was terribly sad about it! Thank you for commenting "Night Desire" and have a great Sunday and week...Gert

Francine, I have a parrot who does just this almost every night when she must go to bed. I thought of her when I read your charming limerick. Thank you. Gerard.
