Congratulations, Emmanuel, on placing in Brian’s “Twenty & Five” contest with this wonderful poem. It reminds me of my Grandmother Dane, who at the age of 90, said for the FIRST TIME, "I am GETTING old!" She lived to be 99 years of age and spent the last 6 years partying with young adults (ranging from 23 to 33 years of age). She was going to be sure that another flood of friend deaths did not cause her pain like the previous losses. I will love her always. Excellent poem, Emmanuel! Dane Ann
