G'day Milton ... it's good to find a doctor who will actually treat you these days, before referring you to a specialist - thank you Milton - Lindsay

Lucky you were in KY and not Texas, where there is a bounty on doctors who provide service! Aloha!

We all need a Doc Jim. One time a doctor asked me "who is your primary doctor?" and I said "you are." He was working at the Urgent Care at the time - not his normal practice. His face got really flushed.

Hmmm...that shouldn't have happened. I'm surprised he did not recognize you!

Sometimes they just have to come out, Maurice. I was just sitting around wondering what would rhyme with Kentucky.

Nice Limerick Milt. Sometime when you go to a hills country doc, you do feel a little lucky if you get well. lol

Lucky? You don’t know the half of it Milt. In the UK all the doctors spontaneously combusted and were replaced by holograms. Unfortunately the technology is imperfect and even those holograms are unattainable. Still, your Limerick cheered me up, and has made me realise this actual fact… in the UK, it’s quicker to fly to the USA to see a doctor than to see a local doctor. Thanks for the nod. Terry

Wow, I had no idea. Glad I live in the U.S. Of course, I am spoiled by medical care because I'm a vet and I get care from the local Veterans Medical Center.

We had a doc who would make house calls, once playing music on our family’s organ.

Kim, I remember, perhaps, fifty years ago or longer when the GP would make a visit to our house. My sister had rheumatic fever, and I remember the doc coming to see her.
