Oh To Write As I Did Before

As I look to this new year and consider what it may bring many thoughts come to mind waiting for my phone to ring I've been writing for over twenty years but the last few months seem a daze seeking to get better but it's no what must I do to find my raise Inspiration is all that I seek to find that one thing to inspire ring back the years once again hold my pen again burning with fire What a picture indeed would this be experience it just even one more time life has hope at my very side I wish it to burn again in its prime So I look up to the heavens from where comes my aid praying for deliverance to be got so my answer would not be delayed This is my wish for 2025 wishing much it would not be delayed just to write as I did before then my pen be never left in the shade

I suppose I may be a little late responding to this "New Years" kind of poem. Fortunately for both of us, your words and thoughts still ring true as we poets are ceaselessly striving for new ideas and inspiration to "hold my pen again burning with fire." I love that line which every poet worth anything seeks to find with every breath we take. Well done, Gordon /// Write on, Terrell

"So I look up to the heavens from where comes my aid praying for deliverance to be got so my answer would not be delayed". I too believe that all aid comes from God. You were writing for the past 20 years. God will again gift your mind with poetic zeal and you'll continue to write many more poems to glorify Him. You won't have to hide your pen in the shade. Wish you dear Gordon, a Happy New Year of greater bliss and creativity.
