Oh, This Sweet Love

It's Valentine's Day and I have something real special planned,
        for my darling, darling sweet love!
    It will be such a romantic evening for us two,
        all day I have been beautified;
          it began with a bubble bath,
oh, the jasmine scented water was so tranquil and divine!

        I have cooked a yummy meal- his most loved,
          and have his favourite deep red wine.
There are jasmine scented candles burning in every single room,
        I have brushed my hair shiny,
          and my lips are ruby red;
I will be wearing only a red satin slip and red high heels!
    the bed has purple silk sheets,
      the curtains are drawn closed.

   Then, at last his key is turning the lock,
      and I am ready to be held in his strong arms.
Oh, he is standing there smelling of the outdoors, fresh and clean,
        in his hand, a perfect bouquet of red roses,
          and a heart shaped box of chocolates!
He looks so handsome and I love him so much,
  "and love is in the air tonight!" On our minds, and in our kisses!
 
   The meal is lovely, the wine delicious;
        his sweet, loving words sublime,
          and we are kissing, oh this sweet love-
             and I am falling, falling, falling . . . 
               
              weeping, weeping, weeping in my bed,
                  it was just a dream of another Valentine's night.

     Tomorrow, I will walk in the deep snow and lay,
          a red rose on his grave- 
                           and my love will fill the air . . .
